1. Lieutenant General Man Mohan Singh Rai has been appointed as the Vice-Chief of the Indian Army. Rai will succeed Lt Gen Philip Campose, who will superannuate the office on 31 July 2015. Presently, Rai is working as the Eastern Army Commander.
लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल मनमोहन सिंह राय को भारतीय सेना के उप-प्रमुख के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। राय, 31 जुलाई 2015 को सेवानिवृत्त होने वाले लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल फिलिप कैंपोज का स्थान लेंगे। वर्तमान में, राय पूर्वी सेना के कमांडर के रूप में कार्यरत हैं।
2. India and Georgia signed a MoU in New Delhi, for cooperation in the field of election management and administration. The major aims of MoU are: promotion of exchanges of knowledge and experience in electoral processes; exchange of information, materials, expertise and training of personnel; production and distribution of materials pertaining to electoral systems, voting technology, voters’ education and awareness, and participation of women and minorities in electoral process.

4. Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division was conferred with the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award (GPEMA) 2015 during 17th World Congress on Environment Management organised in New Delhi. It was presented by the Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar to Sanjay Rajoria, General Manager of West Bokaro, Tata Steel of Jharkhand.

5. Olivia Jordan of Oklahoma was crowned Miss USA 2015.The competition was held in Lusiana. The 26-year-old winner was followed by first runner-up Ylianna Guerra, 22, of Texas, and second runner-up Anea Garcia, 20, of Rhode Island.

6. In order to leverage Indian creativity, expertise, and resources to identify and scale innovative solutions, the FICCI and the World Bank announced their partnership to advance the Millennium Alliance (MA) initiative. The agreement was signed to formalize a shared commitment to support sustainable and scalable innovative solutions in the identified priority areas of sanitation, education, healthcare, clean energy and agriculture.

7. In fresh trials, India has test-fired its indigenously developed ‘Nag’ an anti-tank guided missile, which can hit a target upto 7 km, from a helicopter at a firing range in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. Three-round trial of helicopter-launched Nag (HeliNa) missile were conducted at the Chandhan firing range. HeliNa is a helicopter-launched version of Nag and has been developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP).
भारत ने ताजा परीक्षणों के तहत देश में निर्मित टैंक भेदी गाइडेड मिसाइल ‘नाग’ का राजस्थान के जैसलमेर स्थित एक फायरिंग रेंज में परीक्षण किया, जो हेलीकॉप्टर प्लैटफॉर्म से 7 किलोमीटर की दूरी तक मार कर सकती है। हेलीकॉप्टर-प्रक्षेपित नाग (हेलिना) मिसाइल का चंधान फायरिंग रेंज में त्रिस्तरीय परीक्षण किया गया। हेलिना ‘नाग’ का हेलीकॉप्टर से दागा जा सकने वाला संस्करण है और इसे रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (डीआरडीओ) ने इंटीग्रेटेड गाइडेड मिसाइल डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम (आईजीएमडीपी) के तहत विकसित किया है।
8. Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju launched the GPS-Aided Geo Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) system, which would make airline operations more efficient and reduce costs. GAGAN is a satellite-based navigation system which provides autonomous, high precision geo-spatial location information of the user in terms of latitude, longitude and height along with velocity and time. Jointly developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Airports Authority of India (AAI), at an investment of Rs. 774 crore, GAGAN will offer seamless navigation to the aviation industry.
नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री अशोक गजपति राजू ने जीपीएस आधारित जियो ऑग्मेंटेड नेविगेशन (गगन) प्रणाली की शुरूआत की। यह प्रणाली विमानों के संचालन को ज्यादा दक्ष बनाएगी और संचालन पर आने वाली लागत को कम करेगी। गगन उपग्रह आधारित नेविगेशन प्रणाली है, जो कि प्रयोगकर्ता की भू-आकाशीय स्थिति की जानकारी बेहद सटीकता के साथ वेग और समय के साथ-साथ अक्षांश, देशांश और उंचाई के रूप में देती है। भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) और भारतीय हवाईअड्डा प्राधिकरण (एएआई) द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से विकसित की गई 774 करोड़ रूपए के निवेश वाली गगन प्रणाली उड्डयन उद्योग को निर्बाध नेविगेशन उपलब्ध कराएगी।
9. Indian grapplers finished with an impressive haul of 16 medals, including three gold, at the Junior Asian Freestyle, Greeco-Roman and Female Wrestling championship at Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar. The Indian team’s performance has won them 68 Champion Trophy points, while the Greeco-Roman team finished runners-up with 59 points. In Men’s Freestyle category, the Indians claimed a total of eight medals with Ravi Kumar bagging the yellow metal in 55kg division.
भारतीय पहलवानों ने म्यांमार में नेय पी थॉ में जूनियर एशियाई फ्रीस्टाइल, ग्रीको रोमन और महिला कुश्ती में तीन स्वर्ण समेत कुल 16 पदक जीते। भारतीय टीम को इस प्रदर्शन से 68 चैम्पियन ट्राफी अंक मिले जबकि ग्रीको रोमन टीम 59 अंक लेकर उपविजेता रही। पुरूषों के फ्रीस्टाइल वर्ग में भारत ने आठ पदक जीते जिनमें रवि कुमार को 55 किलो वर्ग में मिला पीला तमगा शामिल है।
10. Southern music composer M.S. Viswanathan, who has over 750 films to his credit passed away. He was 87. He was popularly known as MSV in the film industry. Popular for composing music in more than 750 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, MSV started his career as a composer for 1952 Tamil film “Panam”.
दक्षिण भारतीय सिनेमा के जाने माने संगीतकार एम.एस. विश्वनाथन का निधन हो गया है। म्यूजिक इंडस्ट्री में विश्वानाथन एमएसवी के नाम से मशहूर थे। वह 87 साल के थे। एमएसवी ने तमिल, तेलूगु और मलयालम भाषा की 750 से ज्यादा फिल्मों में संगीत दिया। 1952 में विश्वनाथन ने तमिल फिल्म ‘पनाम’ से अपने फिल्मी सफर की शुरुआत की थी।

1. India and Tajikistan inked agreements in the field of culture and human resource development after talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon. This is the last leg of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 6-nation tour of Central Asian countries. As part of the agreement, India is to set up computer labs in 37 schools in Tajikistan.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और ताजिकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति इमोमाली रहमान के बीच वार्ता के बाद भारत और ताजिकिस्तान के बीच संस्कृति और मानव संसाधन विकास के क्षेत्र में समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर हुए। यह प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के 6 मध्य एशियाई राष्ट्रों के दौरे का अंतिम चरण है। समझौते के भाग के रूप में, भारत ताजिकिस्तान में 37 स्कूलों में कंप्यूटर लैब स्थापित करेगा।
2. Serena Williams claimed her sixth Wimbledon title by beating Spain’s Garbine Muguruza 6-4 6-4 in the women’s singles final. She now has 21 Grand Slam titles. On the other hand, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic defeated Switzerland’s Roger Federer by 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 in the men’s singles final of Wimbledon 2015. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has now won three Wimbledon singles title – 2011, 2014 and 2015.
सेरेना विलियम्स ने स्पेन की गारबिन मुगुरुज़ा को 6-4, 6-4 से हराकर छठी बार विम्बलडन का महिला एकल खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया। सेरेना का यह 21वां ग्रैंड स्लैम ख़िताब है। दूसरी ओर, विश्व न. 1 खिलाड़ी सर्बिया के नोवाक जोकिविच ने स्विट्जरलैण्ड के रोजर फेडरर को 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 से हराकर विम्बलडन 2015 का पुरुष एकल खिताब जीत लिया। इस खिताब के साथ जोकिविच अब तक तीन विम्बलडन एकल खिताब जीत चुके हैं। नोवाक जोकिविच ने इससे पूर्व 2011 और गत वर्ष 2014 में यह प्रतिष्ठित खिताब जीता था।

In the Wimbledon 2015 women’s doubles final, Indo-Swiss pair of Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis defeated Russian pair Ekaterina Makarova- Elena Vesnina by 5-7, 7-6, 7-5 to win their first Wimbledon title. On the other hand Jean-Julien Rojer, along with Horia Tecau beaten Jamie Murray and John Peers by 7-6 (5), 6-4, 6-4 to win their Wimbledon 2015 men’s doubles title.
विंबलडन 2015 महिला युगल फाइनल में सानिया मिर्जा-मार्टिना हिंगिस की भारत-स्विस जोड़ी ने 5-7, 7-6, 7-5 से रूसी जोड़ी एकातेरिना मकारोवा-एलेना वेस्नीना को पराजित करके अपना पहला विम्बलडन खिताब जीता। दूसरी ओर जीन-जुलिएन रोजर ने होरिया टेकाउ के साथ जेमी मरे और जॉन पिअर्स को 7-6(5), 6-4, 6-4 से पराजित करके विंबलडन 2015 पुरुष युगल खिताब जीता।
4. Indian tennis veteran Leander Paes won the mixed doubles title of the Wimbledon Championship 2015 with legendary Martina Hingis. This was Paes’ 16th Grand Slam title. Whereas this was overall 18th Grand Slam title of Hingis. Seventh seeded Indo-Swiss pair of Paes and Hingis drubbed the fifth seeded Austrian-Hungarian team of Alexander Peya and Timea Babos by 6-1 6-1 in the lop-sided summit clash which was over in just 40 minutes.
भारत के दिग्गज टेनिस खिलाड़ी लिएण्डर पेस ने स्विट्जरलैण्ड की मार्टीना हिंगिस के साथ मिलकर विम्बलडन चैंपियनशिप 2015 का मिश्रित युगल खिताब जीत लिया है। इस जीत के साथ पेस अब तक 16 ग्रैण्ड स्लैम खिताब जीत चुके हैं। यह हिंगिस के जीवन का 18वाँ ग्रैण्ड स्लैम खिताब है। सातवीं वरयीता प्राप्त पेस और हिंगिस की जोड़ी ने विम्बलडन मिश्रित युगल के फाइनल में केवल 40 मिनट में एलेक्ज़ेण्डर पेया (ऑस्ट्रिया) और टीमी बाबोस (हंगरी) की जोड़ी को 6-1, 6-1 से हराकर यह खिताब जीता।
5. Sumit Nagal became the sixth Indian to win a Grand Slam junior title after winning the boys doubles trophy at the Wimbledon championship 2015. 17-year-old Nagal and his Vietnamese partner Nam Hoang Ly overcame Reilly Opelka and Akira Santillan 7-6(4), 6-4 in the title clash that lasted 63 minutes to make their place in history books.
विम्बलडन चैंपियनशिप 2015 में लड़कों का युगल खिताब जीतकर सुमित नागल टेनिस ग्रैण्ड स्लैम प्रतियोगिता का युगल खिताब जीतने वाले छठे भारतीय खिलाड़ी बन गये। 17 वर्षीय सुमित नागल ने अपने वियतनामी जोड़ीदार नाम होआंग ली के साथ मिलकर रिली ओपेल्का और अकीरा सेन्तीलान की जोड़ी को 7-6(4), 6-4 से हराकर विम्बलडन का लड़कों का युगल खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया।
6. India and Kyrgyzstan signed four agreements including one on bolstering defence cooperation and holding annual joint military exercises during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fifth leg of his Central Asian tour to Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan’s President Almazbek Atambayev and Narendra Modi signed four key agreements including on cooperation in defence and culture fields. Two MoU were also signed for cooperation between the Election Commissions of the two countries and on cooperation in the sphere of Standards, a move that will help economic relations.
भारत और किर्गिज़स्तान ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के मध्य एशिया के दौरे के किर्गिज़स्तान में पांचवे पड़ाव के दौरान चार समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए जिनमें सालाना संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास सहित रक्षा सहयोग को मजबूत करने का निर्णय शामिल है। किर्गिज़स्तान के राष्ट्रपति अल्माज़बेक अतामबायेव और नरेंद्र मोदी के बीच हुए इन चार समझौतों में रक्षा सहयोग और सांस्कृतिक आदान-प्रदान शामिल है। दोनों देशों के चुनाव आयोगों के बीच और आर्थिक संबंधों को आगे बढ़ाने में मददगार बनने के लिए मानक स्थापित करने के विषय में सहयोग पर दो सहमति पत्रों पर भी हस्ताक्षर किये गए।
7. Indian-origin Sunita Williams is among four “veterans” picked by NASA to fly the first commercial space vehicles, a part of the space agency’s ambitious plan to put a man on Mars by 2030. Williams, 49, accompanied by Robert Behnken, Eric Boe and Douglas Hurley, will train and prepare for commercial spaceflights.

8. India’s first Community Skill Park has been opened at Chavara in Kollam district of Kerala with the aim to train youths so that they may become skilled to get better employment. Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy inaugurated the first ‘Kaushal Kendra’. These ‘Kaushal Kendras’ will develop skills and increase the employability of the youth of the state which they need.
युवाओं को बेहतर रोजगार के लिये दक्ष बनाने के लिये प्रशिक्षण देने हेतु देश का पहला सामुदायिक कौशल पार्क केरल के कोल्लम जिले के चावरा में खुल गया। राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री ओमन चांडी ने पहले ‘कौशल केन्द्र’ का उद्घाटन किया। इन सामुदायिक कौशल केन्द्रों से युवाओं को रोजगार दक्षता हासिल होगी, जिसकी उन्हें जरूरत है।
9. ‘Buddha In A Traffic Jam’ film has won the best original screenplay in a Foreign Language award at the Madrid International Film Festival. The film is a political satire directed by filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri. It stars Arunoday Singh and Mahi Gill in a lead role along with Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi and introduces Anchal Dwivedi.

10. The foundation stone for an international Internet gateway was laid by Union Communication and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad at Tripura’s capital Agartala. This Internet gateway is being established in an effort to create a hassle-free and potent Internet link for the northeastern states. The Agartala Internet Gateway would become third international Internet gateway in India after Mumbai and Chennai. This gateway will comprise of the optical fibre cable (OFC) link between Akhaura (near Agartala) and Cox’s Bazar (Bangladesh).
केन्द्रीय दूरसंचार एवं आईटी मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद ने त्रिपुरा की राजधानी अगरतला में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय इंटरनेट गेटवे की आधारशिला रखी। इस गेटवे का मुख्य उद्देश्य देश के उत्तरपूर्वी राज्यों में इंटरनेट की गुणवत्ता में उल्लेखनीय सुधार करना है। यह देश में स्थापित होने वाला तीसरा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय इंटरनेट गेटवे होगा। भारत में इससे पहले दो अंतर्राष्ट्रीय इंटरनेट गेटवे स्थापित हैं जो मुम्बई तथा चेन्नई में स्थित हैं। त्रिपुरा में अगरतला के पास अखौरा में स्थापित होने वाला यह गेटवे बांग्लादेश के कॉक्सबाजार से ऑप्टिकल फाइबर केबल (ओएफसी) लिंक से जुड़ा होगा।

1. India and Turkmenistan signed 7 agreements for enhancing cooperation in a number of sectors during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fourth leg of his Central Asian tour to Turkmenistan. The agreements were signed in the fields of defence, supply of chemical products, foreign affairs, sports, science and technology, medicine and tourism.
भारत और तुर्कमेनिस्तान ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के मध्य एशिया के दौरे के तुर्कमेनिस्तान में चौथे पड़ाव के दौरान कई क्षेत्रों में सहयोग बढ़ाने हैतु 7 समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए। रक्षा, रसायन उत्पाद की आपूर्ति, विदेश मंत्रालय, खेल, विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी, चिकित्सा एवं पर्यटन के क्षेत्रों में समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए।
2. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched five British satellites into space from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikotta. With the help of PSLV-C28, ISRO kicked off the biggest and heaviest commercial launch to date. These satellites are three identical DMC3 optical earth observation satellites and two auxiliary satellites, viz., CBNT-1 and De-OrbitSail. All these satellites are built by Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL) and weigh 1440-kg.
भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) ने पांच ब्रिटिश उपग्रहों को श्रीहरिकोटा के सतीश धवन स्पेस सेंटर के प्रथम लॉंच पैड से सफलतापूर्वक प्रक्षेपित किया। अब तक की सबसे बड़ी और सबसे भारी व्यावसायिक लांचिंग करते हुए इसरो ने पीएसएलवी सी-28 रॉकेट की मदद से यह प्रक्षेपण किया। यह उपग्रह तीन एक समान डीएमसी3 ऑप्टिकल पृथ्वी निगरानी उपग्रह और दो सहायक उपग्रह यथा- सीबीएन टी-1और डी ऑर्बिट-सेल हैं। सभी उपग्रह, जिनका वजन 1440 किलोग्राम है, का निर्माण सूरी सॅटॅलाइट टेक्नोलॉजी लिमिटेड (एसएसएलटी) द्वरा किया गया है।
3. Cipla, the country’s leading company in Pharma sector, has appointed Samina Vaziralli as Executive Director on its board. Vaziralli is the daughter of M.K. Hamied, Vice Chairman of the Board of Cipla. She is part of the core leadership team and has been with the company since 2011. Earlier, she worked at Goldman Sachs’s investment management department. Vaziralli brings diverse experience of working in the US, the UK, and more recently India.
फार्मा क्षेत्र की देश की प्रमुख कंपनी सिप्ला ने समीना वजीरल्ली को कंपनी का कार्यकारी निदेशक नियुक्त किया है। कंपनी के उपाध्यक्ष एम.के. हमीद की पुत्री वजीरल्ली वर्ष 2011 से सिप्ला से जुड़ी हुई हैं। इससे पहले वह गोल्डमैन सैक्स के निवेश प्रबंधन विभाग में काम कर चुकी हैं। साथ ही उन्हें अमरीका, ब्रिटेन और भारत में काम करने का अच्छा अनुभव है।
4. India and Pakistan were accepted as full members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), a regional grouping including China and Russia. This decision was taken at the 15th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit held in Russia. India, which has had an observer status for the past 10 years, will technically become a member by next year after completion of certain procedures.
भारत तथा पाकिस्तान शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (एससीओ) जो चीन और रूस का एक क्षेत्रीय समूह है, के पूर्ण सदस्य के रूप में स्वीकार कर लिए गए हैं। यह निर्णय रूस में आयोजित हुए 15वें शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (एससीओ) शिखर सम्मेलन में लिया गया। भारत, जो पिछले 10 वर्षों से पर्यवेक्षक के रूप में संगठन में शामिल था अब तकनीकी रूप से कुछ प्रक्रियाओं के पूरा होने के बाद अगले वर्ष तक इसका एक सदस्य बन जाएगा।
5. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) allowed mass transit system (MTS) operators like Mumbai Metro, Delhi Metro, Indian Railways, etc. to issue pre-paid cards to their customer. This is expected to provide a huge relief to the commuters who face problems while purchasing tickets. RBI guidelines also say that the balance in the prepaid instrument issued by the MTS should not exceed Rs. 2,000 at any point of time. Also, MTS would not be allowed to refunds cash that is stocked in the pre-paid instruments (PPI). These PPIs will have a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of issue.
भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने मुम्बई मेट्रो, दिल्ली मेट्रो, भारतीय रेल, आदि जैसी सार्वजनिक यातायात प्रणालियों (एमटीएस) को अपने ग्राहकों को यात्रा करने के लिए प्री-पेड कार्ड जारी करने की अनुमति प्रदान कर दी। ऐसे प्री पेड कार्ड जारी किए जाने से लोगों को टिकट खरीदने के लिए लाइन में लगने की समस्या से निजात मिल सकेगी। लेकिन आरबीआई ने इस सम्बन्ध में यह दिशानिर्देश भी जारी किया है कि ऐसे कार्डों में एक समय में अधिकतम 2,000 रुपए ही रखे जा सकेंगे तथा कार्डों में जमा धन वापस नहीं दिया जा सकेगा। इस कार्डों की न्यूनतम वैधता जारी किए जाने के समय से 6 माह अवधि की होगी।
6. Uttarakhand became first Indian state to install a system to detect earthquakes and disseminate warnings. The first system has been installed in its capital Dehradun which will issue warnings 1-40 seconds before earthquakes of magnitude 5 or more occur. The system is designed and manufactured by Italian firm, Space Dynamics which already has installed it in Japan, Italy and US. The second system will be established at Pithoragarh in the Kumaon region.
भूकंप की स्थिति में लोगों की जान बचाने के उद्देश्य से देश की पहली भूकंप चेतावनी प्रणाली देहरादून, उत्तराखंड में स्थापित की गई। यह प्रणाली 5 या उससे अधिक तीव्रता के भूकंप घटित होने की स्थिति में 1 से 40 सेकेंड पूर्व चेतावनी प्रदान कर देगी। इस प्रणाली का निर्माण इतालवी फर्म ‘स्पेस डाईनेमिक्स’ द्वारा किया गया है जिसने पहले से ही जापान, इटली और अमेरिका में इसे स्थापित कर दिया है। इस तरह की अगली प्रणाली कुमाऊं क्षेत्र के पिथौरागढ़ में स्थापित की जाएगी।
7. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar dedicated indigenously developed surface-to-air Akash Missile to the Air Force at Maharajpur Airbase in Gwalior. The anti-aircraft missile Akash has a strike range of 25 km and capability of carrying a warhead of 60 kg. The Akash can employ multiple air targets while operating in fully autonomous mode.
रक्षामंत्री मनोहर पर्रिकर ने ग्वालियर में महाराजपुर वायुसेना अड्डे पर स्वदेश में निर्मित जमीन-से-हवा में मार करने वाली आकाश मिसाइल भारतीय वायुसेना को सौंपी। विमान भेदी मिसाइल आकाश की मारक क्षमता 25 किमी की है और 60 किलोग्राम मुखास्त्र ले जाने में सक्षम है। पूरी तरह से स्वायत्त मोड में काम करते हुए आकाश कई हवाई लक्ष्यों को निशाना बना सकती है।
8. The World Bank and Norway has approved an amount of 55 crore dollars for education sector in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. Group has signed an agreement with Norway for result based financial help in the education sector. Under this agreement both states will get a separate loan of 55 crore dollars. Loan to the state of Bihar is sanctioned for capacity addition of Primary teachers in Bihar while Madhya Pradesh will get the financial help for higher education reforms.
बिहार और मध्य प्रदेश में शिक्षा क्षेत्र के लिए विश्व बैंक और नार्वे ने 55 करोड़ डॉलर की राशि स्वीकृत की है। समूह ने शिक्षा क्षेत्र में परिणाम आधारित वित्तीय मदद के लिए नार्वे के साथ समझौता किया है। इसके तहत बिहार और मध्य प्रदेश के लिए कुल 55 करोड़ डॉलर के अलग-अलग ऋण को मंजूरी दी गई है। बिहार में प्राथमिक शिक्षकों के क्षमतावर्द्धन के लिए ऋण स्वीकृत किया गया है, जबकि मध्य प्रदेश में उच्च शिक्षा सुधारों में मदद की जाएगी।
9. Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) has signed a multilateral agreement to cooperate with New Development Bank (NDB) along with other member development banks of BRICS nations. New Development Bank (NDB) is promoted by the BRICS nations — Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. The agreement was signed between Exim Bank Chairman and Managing Director Yaduvendra Mathur and Chairpersons or Presidents of other member development banks of BRICS in Ufa, Russia during the BRICS Summit 2015.
एक्सपोर्ट-इम्पोर्ट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (एक्जिम बैंक) ने ब्रिक्स राष्ट्रों के अन्य सदस्य विकास बैंकों के साथ नव विकास बैंक (एनडीबी) के साथ सहयोग करने हेतु एक बहुस्तरीय समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। एनडीबी ब्रिक्स राष्ट्रों (ब्राजील, रूस, भारत, चीन व दक्षिण अफ्रीका) द्वारा प्रवर्तित बैंक है। करार पर एक्जिम बैंक के चेयरमैन एवं प्रबंध निदेशक यदुवेंद्र माथुर व ब्रिक्स के अन्य सदस्य देशों के विकास बैंकों के अध्यक्षों ने रूस में ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन-2015 के दौरान उफा में हस्ताक्षर किए।
10. NRI entrepreneur Lord Karan Bilimoria has been appointed as the President of the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA). He will replace Baroness Usha Prashar as she steps down, having served the maximum term of nine years. Hyderabad born Bilimoria, the founder of Cobra Beer, is also the Chancellor of the University of Birmingham.

1. India will host the next BRICS Summit in 2016. This was announced in the 7th BRICS Summit held in Russian city of Ufa in Bashkortostan. The eighth BRICS Summit will be organised in New Delhi in 2016 – four years after India organised the fourth summit in 2012. India would become BRICS chairperson from February 2016.
भारत 2016 में अगले ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन की मेजबानी करेगा। इसकी घोषणा बश्कोर्तोस्तान में रूसी शहर ऊफ़ा में आयोजित 7वें ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन में की गई थी। आठवां ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन 2016 में नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया जाएगा। भारत चार साल बाद इसकी मेजबानी करेगा। 2012 में ब्रिक्स के चौथे शिखर सम्मेलन का आयोजन भारत में हुआ था। भारत फ़रवरी 2016 से ब्रिक्स का अध्यक्ष बन जाएगा।
2. Ashok K. Lahiri, a former Chief Economic Advisor (CEA), was named as the first Chairman of Bandhan Bank during the announcement of appointment of Board of Directors of the bank was made. Chandra Sekhar Ghosh will be the MD and CEO of the bank. The bank will start its operations from 23 August 2015 and will be inaugurated by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.

3. Credit Information Bureau India Ltd (CIBIL), India’s leader in credit information, has appointed Satish Pillai as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Pillai succeeds Arun Thukral who retires this year after a decade.

4. India and United States (US) signed Inter Governmental Agreement (IGA) to implement the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). The agreement will promote transparency on tax matters between the two countries. As per the IGA, FFIs in India will be required to report tax information about US account holders directly to the Indian Government which will, in turn, relay that information to the IRS. The IRS will provide similar information about Indian account holders in the United States.
भारत तथा संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका (यूएसए) ने विदेशी खाता कर अनुपालन अधिनियम (एफएटीसीए) को लागू करने हेतु अंतर-सरकारी समझौते (आईजीए) पर हस्ताक्षर किये। यह समझौता दोनों देशों के बीच कर संबंधित मामलों में पारदर्शिता को बढ़ावा देगा। इसके तहत भारतीय वित्तीय संस्थान अपने अमेरिकी ग्राहकों के बारे में राजस्व विभाग को सूचना देंगे जो इसे अमेरिकी अधिकारियों को उपलब्ध कराएगा। अमेरिका भी इसी तरह की वित्तीय सूचनाएं भारत को देगा।
5. Vodafone India, the telecom service providers, has entered into a strategic tie-up with Walmart India. This tie-up will enable business members of six Best Price Modern Wholesale stores, owned and operated by Walmart India, to make payments using M-Pesa from their mobile anywhere, anytime. The first-of-its-kind partnership with Walmart India, gives all its members, including small businesses such as kiranas/resellers, the benefit of sending money through their mobile phones instantly and securely and run their customer facing businesses more efficiently and in hassle-free manner.

6. Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA), a unique initiative developed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development with the objective to inculcate a spirit of inquiry, creativity and love for Science and Mathematics in school children was launched by the former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. This is the Phase I of RAA, while Phase II of RAA will be launched in January, 2016 for higher education under which model science labs will be established in all districts of the North Eastern States.

7. MakeMyTrip, RBL Bank, Inox wind and IRCTC are among the firms that have made it to the Fortune Next 500 list of Indian companies, which has been topped by iPhone distributor Redington India. Redington India tops the list with annual revenue of over Rs. 1,690 crore followed by Inox Wind (Rs 1,689 crore), ISMT (Rs 1,685 crore), Emcure Pharmaceuticals (Rs 1,683.5 crore) and Orientcraft (Rs 1,683 crore).

8. A brilliant half-century by Thirush Kamini lifted India to a nine-wicket win over New Zealand and enabled them to take the five-match women’s One-Day International (ODI) series 3-2. After bundling out New Zealand for 118 in 41 overs, India, spearheaded by Kamini (62 not out) and Deepti Sharma (44 not out), who put on 103 runs for the second wicket, made 121/1 in 27.2 overs to round off a commanding performance.

India dropped a whopping 15 places to languish at the 156th position with 161 points in the latest FIFA rankings, after successive losses to Oman and lowly-Guam in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers match held last month. Earlier India was ranked 141st in world rankings. Argentina, meanwhile, takes top spot in the FIFA rankings from World Cup winner Germany despite losing another tournament final. Beaten by Chile in the Copa America finalArgentina rises two places to lead the rankings. Germany falls to No. 2, followed by Belgium.

10. Country’s second largest IT services firm Infosys has signed a multi-million euro deal with Deutsche Bank. Under the terms of the agreement, Infosys will provide services like development, application maintenance, digital and mobility, package implementation and testing services across the Deutsche Bank Group.
देश की दूसरी सबसे बड़ी सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी सेवा कंपनी इन्फोसिस ने ड्यूश बैंक के साथ करोड़ों यूरो का अनुबंध किया है। कंपनी इस समझौते के तहत ड्यूश बैंक समूह को सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी उपायों के विकास, रखरखाव, डिजिटल एवं मोबिलिटी, पैकेज कार्यान्वयन और परीक्षण सेवाओं जैसी सेवाएं प्रदान करेगा।

1. 7th BRICS Summit concluded in Ufa, Russia on 9th July with the theme, “BRICS partnership: A powerful factor for global development”. The summit is being attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, South African President Jacob Zuma and Chinese President Xi Jinping. In a significant step in economic cooperation, Russia’s Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) signed an MoU with India’s Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) for funding of hydro-generation projects.
7वां ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन 9 जुलाई को ऊफ़ा, रूस में समाप्त हो गया है। इसका विषय, “ब्रिक्स भागीदारी: वैश्विक विकास के लिए एक शक्तिशाली कारक” है। शिखर सम्मेलन में रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन, ब्राजील की राष्ट्रपति दिल्मा रॉसेफ, भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, दक्षिण अफ्रीकी राष्ट्रपति जैकब जुमा और चीनी राष्ट्रपति क्सी जिनपिंग ने भाग लिया। आर्थिक सहयोग में एक महत्वपूर्ण चरण में, रूस के प्रत्यक्ष निवेश कोष (आरडीआईएफ) ने जल-उत्पादन परियोजनाओं के वित्त पोषण के लिए भारत की इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर डेवलपमेंट फाइनेंस कंपनी (आईडीएफसी) के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
2. Russian oil firm Rosneft announced to buy 49 percent stake in Essar Oil, the firm that owns India’s second biggest oil refinery. Both the firms signed a non-binding Term Sheet in this regard. Also, a Long Term Crude Oil Supply Agreement by the two firms was signed in Ufa, Russia for import of 10 million tonnes a year of crude oil for a period of 10 years. This contract has been signed in pursuance to the Key Terms executed between the two companies in December 2014 at New Delhi.
रूस की पेट्रोलियम कंपनी, रॉसनेफ्ट, एस्सार आयल में 49 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी खरीदेगी जिसके पास भारत की दूसरी सबसे बड़ी रिफाइनरी है। दोनों फर्मों ने गैर-बाध्यकारी निबंधन पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर किए। रूस के उफा में दोनों कंपनियों के बीच दीर्घकालिक कच्चा तेल आपूर्ति समझौते पर भी हस्ताक्षर हुआ जिसके तहत 10 साल की अवधि में सालाना एक करोड़ टन कच्चे तेल का आयात किया जाएगा। दोनों कंपनियों द्वारा दिसंबर 2014 में मुख्य शर्तों पर हुई सहमति के बाद इस समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर हुआ।

4. India’s Shot putter Inderjeet Singh created history by winning the first ever gold medal for India in the shot put event at the World University Games 2015 in Gwangju, South Korea. His sixth and final throw covering a distance of 20.27 was good enough to win him the coveted yellow metal. This helped India to register its first ever win in the World University Games.
भारत के शॉटपुटर इंदरजीत सिंह ने दक्षिण कोरिया के ग्वांगझू में चल रहे वर्ल्ड यूनिवर्सिटी गेम्स 2015 में गोला फेंक स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण पदक जीतकर भारत को उसका इस प्रतियोगिता में पहला स्वर्ण पदक जिताकर इतिहास रच दिया। इंदरजीत ने अपने छठे और अंतिम प्रयास में 20.27 मीटर की दूरी तय करके खिताब जीता। इससे भारत ने इन खेलों में स्वर्ण पदक का अपना खाता भी खोला।
5. The Film Society of Jodhpur was conferred with the Pritiman Sarkar Award 2014-15 for the fourth time for being the best film society in Northern Region in raising awareness and film appreciation. The award was presented by the Federation of Film Societies of India (North Region). The award was given in recognition of screening of a series of films by the society in 2014-15 in Jodhpur to mark 100 glorious years of Indian cinema under the Incredible Journey of Indian Cinema.
जोधपुर फिल्म सोसायटी को उत्तरी क्षेत्र में जागरूकता फ़ैलाने तथा फिल्म सराहना के लिए उत्तरी क्षेत्र में सर्वश्रेष्ठ फिल्म सोसायटी के रूप में चौथी बार प्रितिमन सरकार पुरस्कार 2014-15 से सम्मानित किया गया। यह पुरस्कार फेडरेशन ऑफ फिल्म सोसायटीज ऑफ इंडिया (उत्तरी क्षेत्र) द्वारा प्रदान किया गया। यह पुरस्कार भारतीय सिनेमा की अविश्वसनीय यात्रा के 100 गौरवशाली वर्ष पूरे होने के उपलक्ष्य में जोधपुर में 2014-15 में सोसायटी द्वारा फिल्मों की स्क्रीनिंग्स देखने के बाद प्रदान किया गया।
6. Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav appointed Justice Kalyan Shrestha as the new chief justice of the country. The president appointed Shrestha, 64, as the new chief justice on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council. He has been appointed to the post after the retirement of Ram Kumar Prasad Saha.
नेपाल के राष्ट्रपति रामबरन यादव ने न्यायमूर्ति कल्याण श्रेष्ठ को नेपाल का नया मुख्य न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया है। राष्ट्रपति ने संवैधानिक परिषद की अनुशंसा पर 64 वर्षीय श्रेष्ठ को नया मुख्य न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया है। उन्हे राम कुमार प्रसाद साहा की सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद इस पद पर नियुक्त किया गया है।
7. The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) — the government company tasked to promote renewable energy — has launched a new loan scheme in order to promote rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects. The scheme will provide loans at the interest rate of 9.9 to 10.75 percent to the system aggregators and the developers. The scheme was launched by Union Minister of State for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal.
नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के प्रसार में संलग्न सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की कंपनी भारतीय अक्षय ऊर्जा विकास एजेंसी (इरेडा) ने देश में भवनों की छतों में लग पाने में सक्षम रूफटॉप सोलर फोटोवॉल्टेक (पीवी) ऊर्जा संयंत्रों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक नई ऋण योजना को शुरू किया है। इस योजना के तहत एग्रीगेटर्स और डेवलपर्स को ऐसे संयंत्रों को लगाने के लिए 9.9 से 10.75% की दरों पर ॠण उपलब्ध कराया जायेगा। ऊर्जा, कोयला तथा नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्री पियूष गोयल द्वारा इस योजना का शुभारंभ किया गया।
8. Russian cosmonaut Gennady Padalka entered Guinness World Records for spending most number of days in the space. He achieved the feat by spending 804 days on the International Space Station (ISS). He surpassed cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev, also a Russian, record of 803 days, 9 hours and 41 minutes in the space which Sergei achieved across six missions from 1998 to 2005. Padalka, who is the commander of the crew on the ISS, is scheduled to return to earth in September 2015. It means he would have spent a total of 877 days in space by then.
रूसी अंतरिक्ष यात्री गेनाडी पदल्का ने अंतरिक्ष में सर्वाधिक दिन व्यतीत करने का गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड् स्थापित किया। उन्होंने यह उपलब्धि अंतरराष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन (आईएसएस) पर 804 दिन व्यतीत करने के बाद हासिल की। इनसे पूर्व यह रिकॉर्ड रूसी अंतरिक्ष यात्री सर्गेई क्रिकालेव के नाम था, उन्होंने 1998 से 2005 तक अपने छह मिशनों में अंतरिक्ष में 803 दिन, 9 घंटे और 41 मिनट व्यतीत किए थे। पदल्का आईएसएस पर चालक दल के कमांडर हैं तथा वह सितम्बर 2015 में पृथ्वी पर लौटेंगे अर्थात उन्हें अंतरिक्ष में कुल 877 दिन बिताने होंगे।
9. Noted Urdu poet, critic and orator Bashar Nawaz, who had penned the immensely popular song ‘Karoge yaad’ in Hindi film ‘Bazaar’, passed away at Aurangabad after a brief illness. Born on August 18, 1935 at Aurangabad, Nawaz’s writings were regularly published in various Urdu literary journals magazines in India and abroad. He was also honoured with prestigious “Pulotsav Samman” for his contribution to Urdu literature.
जाने माने उर्दू कवि, आलोचक एवं वक्ता बशर नवाज का औरंगाबाद में निधन हो गया। वह कुछ समय से बीमार थे। हिन्दी फिल्म ‘बाजार’ का बेहद लोकप्रिय गीत ‘करोगे याद’ उन्होंने ही लिखा था। औरंगाबाद में 18 अगस्त 1935 को जन्मे नवाज की रचनाएं भारत और विदेश में विभिन्न पत्रिकाओं में नियमित तौर पर प्रकाशित होती थीं। उर्दू साहित्य में योगदान के लिए उन्हें प्रतिष्ठित ‘पुलोत्सव’ सम्मान से भी नवाजा गया था।
10. Telangana government and International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve profitability of farmers. The MoU was signed by C. Parthasarathi, Secretary and Agri-Production Commissioner; Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, IT, Electronics & Communications; and ICRISAT Director General David Bergvinson. Under this MoU, the organisation will provide Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based knowledge sharing platforms and other agricultural innovation initiatives to farmers in order to improve their productivity.

2. India and Kazakhstan inked 5 agreements, including defence, railways and uranium supply, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev on his second leg of visit to the Central Asian countries. Both sides also agreed to collaborate closely in the framework of the International North South Transport Corridor and through bilateral initiatives to improve surface connectivity.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की मध्य एशियाई देशों की यात्रा के दूसरे चरण में मोदी कजाकिस्तान पहुँचे जहां उन्होंने कजाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति नुरसुल्तान नजरबायेव से वार्ता की तथा दोनों देशों ने रक्षा, रेलवे और यूरेनियम आपूर्ति सहित 5 क्षेत्रों से संबंधित समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए। दोनों पक्षों के बीच अंतर्राष्ट्रीय उत्तर-दक्षिण परिवहन गलियारा की रूपरेखा बनाने तथा सड़क संपर्क में सुधार के लिए द्विपक्षीय पहल पर साथ काम करने की सहमति बनी।

According to World Bank India’s rural employment guarantee programme MNREGA has been ranked as the world’s largest public works programme, providing social security net to almost 15 percent of the country’s population. According to World Bank Group’s report ‘The State of Social Safety Nets 2015′, India is among the five middle-income countries running the world’s largest social safety net programmes. India’s Mid-day meal scheme has been classified as biggest school feeding programme benefiting 105 million beneficiaries.
विश्व बैंक के अनुसार भारत के ग्रामीण रोजगार गारंटी योजना कार्य्रकम (मनरेगा) को दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लोक निर्माण कार्य्रकम आंका गया है। यह कार्य्रकम देश की लगभग 15 प्रतिशत जनसंख्या को सामाजिक सुरक्षा दायरा उपलब्ध कराता है। विश्व बैंक समूह ने अपनी रिपोर्ट ‘द स्टेट ऑफ सोशल सेफ्टी नेट्स 2015′ में यह निष्कर्ष निकाला है। इसके अनुसार भारत मध्य आय वाले उन पांच देशों में शामिल है, जो कि दुनिया के सबसे बड़े सामाजिक सुरक्षा कार्य्रकम चला रहे हैं। वहीं भारत के मध्याह्न भोजन योजना को सबसे बड़ा स्कूल भोजन कार्यक्रम माना गया है, जो 105 मिलियन लाभार्थियों को लाभ पहुँचा रहा है।
4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kazakhstan premier Karim Massimov launched the first exploratory drilling of the Satpayev oil block by India’s OVL and KazMunaiGaz. The two leaders launched the drilling through live video conferencing. ONGC Videsh Ltd. (OVL) — the overseas arm of state-run ONGC — had in 2011 picked up 25 percent stake in the Satpayev oil block in the North Caspian Sea. The Satpayev oil block is an offshore field in the Northern Caspian sea, with potential reserves estimated at 1.8 billion barrels.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और कजाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री करीम मासिमोव ने सत्पायेव तेल ब्लॉक में प्रथम खुदाई लांच की। दोनों नेताओं ने लाइव वीडियो कान्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए खुदाई लांच की। तेल एवं प्राकृतिक गैस निगम (ओएनजीसी) की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कारोबार करने वाली सहायक कंपनी ओएनजीसी विदेश लिमिटेड (ओवीएल) ने 2011 में कैस्पियन सागर के उत्तर में स्थित सत्पायेव तेल ब्लॉक में 25 फीसदी हिस्सेदारी खरीदी थी। सतपायेव तेल ब्लॉक उत्तरी कैस्पियन सागर में एक अपतटीय क्षेत्र है। इस ब्लॉक में 1.8 अरब बैरल तेल भंडार होने का अनुमान है।
5. Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, the railway coach manufacturing entity of the Indian Railways, became the first in the world to have manufactured 50,000 railway coaches. Union Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu released the 50,000th coach manufactured by ICF. To mark this occasion the Rail Minister also dedicated the New LHB Coach (Modern Passenger Coach) Manufacturing Unit in ICF itself to the nation.
भारतीय रेलवे से सम्बद्ध कोच उत्पादन संयंत्र, एकीकृत कोच फैक्ट्री (आईसीएफ),चेन्नई 50,000 रेलवे कोच का निर्माण करने वाला विश्व का पहला संयंत्र बना है। केन्द्रीय रेल मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु ने आईसीएफ द्वारा बनाए गए 50,000वें कोच को हरी झंडी दिखायी। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने संयंत्र में ही एक नई एलएचबी (आधुनिक यात्री डिब्बा) कोच उत्पादन इकाई को राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया।
6. China named Jin Liqun as the first Chief of the Beijing-backed Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which is being established as an alternative financial entity to World Bank and IMF. Jin Liqun is a former Finance Minister of China. AIIB is a multilateral development bank proposed by the government of China to provide finance to infrastructure projects in the Asia region.

7. Indian woman cricketer Mithali Raj made history by becoming the first Indian and second in women’s ODI history to complete 5000 runs. Indian captain Mithali Raj achieved this distinction as she scored a stylish 81 runs in the fourth one day international (ODI) of the series against New Zealand to enable the Indian team to register a comfortable eight-wicket victory. She became the second woman cricketer in history to complete 5000 runs in ODIs after England’s Charlotte Edwards.
भारत की महिला क्रिकेटर मिताली राज ने महिला क्रिकेट के तहत होने वाले एक-दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय (ओडीआई) मैचों में 5,000 रन पूरे करने वाली पहली भारतीय तथा विश्व की दूसरी महिला बनकर इतिहास रच दिया। भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम की कप्तान मिताली राज ने यह रिकॉर्ड तब बनाया जब वे न्यूज़ीलैण्ड के खिलाफ एकदिवसीय श्रृंखला के चौथे मैच में खेल रहीं थी। उनकी लाजबाव 81 रन की पारी की बदौलत जहाँ भारत ने न्यूज़ीलैण्ड को पराजित कर दिया वहीं इस पारी के दौरान मिताली ने 5,000 रन के मुकाम को पार कर लिया। अभी तक सिर्फ एक महिला क्रिकेटर, इंग्लैण्ड की चार्लोट एडवर्ड्स, ने ओडीआई में 5,000 रन को पार किया है।
8. State-run IDBI Bank has signed an agreement with Mudra Bank for refinancing of loans given to small enterprises. As per the agreement, the Bank will offer credit facilities up to Rs. 10 lakh to micro enterprises, at a competitive interest rate under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) and Mudra will be providing refinance assistance to the bank for eligible sanctioned loan cases.
सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के आईडीबीआई बैंक ने छोटे उपक्रमों को दिए जाने वाले ऋणों के वित्तपोषण के लिए मुद्रा बैंक के साथ एक समझौता किया है। समझौते के अनुसार बैंक प्रधानमंत्री मुद्रा योजना (पीएमएमवाई) के तहत प्रतिस्पर्धी ब्याज दर पर सूक्ष्म उपक्रमों को 10 लाख रूपए तक की ऋण सुविधा प्रदान करेगा। साथ ही मुद्रा बैंक ऋण पाने योग्य लोगों को स्वीकृत ऋणों के लिए आईडीबीआई बैंक को पुनर्वित्त सुविधा प्रदान करेगा।
9. India has overtaken the US to become the world’s third largest steel producer and is working towards achieving 300 million tonnes (MT) target in the next 10 years. So far India was the 4th largest steel producer in the world only after China, Japan and the US. Last year the growth in crude steel production in India was more than 8 percent.
भारत अमेरिका को पीछे छोड़ते हुए दुनिया का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा इस्पात उत्पादक देश बन गया है तथा वह अगले 10 वर्षों में 300 मिलियन टन (एमटी) लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने की दिशा में काम कर रहा है। अब तक भारत केवल चीन, जापान और अमेरिका के बाद दुनिया का चौथा सबसे बड़ा इस्पात उत्पादक देश था। पिछले साल भारत में कच्चे इस्पात के उत्पादन में 8 प्रतिशत से अधिक वृद्धि दर्ज की गई थी।
10. Mariyappan Thangavelu from Salem district in Tamil Nadu clinched the high jump gold medal at the just-concluded IWAS World Junior Games 2015 in the Netherlands. He had cleared a distance of 1.77 meters in the F 42 category.
तमिलनाडु के सलेम जिले के मरियप्पन थांगवेलु ने नीदरलैंड में समाप्त हुए आईडब्ल्यूएएस विश्व जूनियर खेल 2015 में ऊंची कूद में स्वर्ण पदक जीता। उन्होंने एफ 42 वर्ग में 1.77 मीटर की ऊंची कूद लगाकर स्वर्ण पदक हासिल किया।

1. On the first leg of his visit to Central Asian countries and Russia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Uzbekistan. He held talks with Uzbekistan President Islam Karimov on key bilateral and regional issues including the situation in Afghanistan. India and Uzbekistan inked 3 pacts to boost cooperation between their foreign offices and in the field of culture and tourism.

Euclid Tsakalotos, the deputy foreign minister of international economic affairs and chief coordinator of the country’s negotiating team over the debt deal with lenders, has been appointed as new Finance Minister of Greece after Yanis Varoufakis resigned from the post because Greek voters delivered an overwhelming “No” vote in a referendum on whether to accept more austerity measures in return for new bailout cash.

3. Latest UNICEF data showed that both child stunting and the number of underweight children in India had fallen to a historic low for 2013-14. According to the Rapid Survey on Children (RSOC) conducted by the UNICEF, the Indian 4 states–Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Uttarakhand and Tripura have successfully reduced the proportion of underweight adolescent girls. Uttar Pradesh accounts for more than 50% of the children under the age of five years who are underdeveloped.
यूनिसेफ द्वारा किए गए एक नवीनतम सर्वे के अनुसार हाल के वर्षों में भारत में बच्चों के कम कद तथा कम वजन की समस्या में काफी गिरावट दर्ज की गई है। यूनिसेफ द्वारा इस सम्बन्ध में आयोजित रैपिड सर्वे ऑन चिल्ड्रन (आरएसओसी) के अनुसार भारत के 4 राज्य, तमिलनाडु, पश्चिम बंगाल, उत्तराखण्ड और त्रिपुरा ने कम वजन वाली किशोर बालिकाओं का अनुपात कम करने में सफलता हासिल की है। उत्तर प्रदेश में पाँच वर्ष की आयु तक कम-विकसित बच्चों की संख्या 50% से अधिक है।
4. India has won a record 156 medals, including 89 gold and 50 silvers, in the World Police and Fire games held in the suburb of the American Capital. Topping this tally on medal haul was Richa Mishra from Central Reserve Police Force, who won six golds and two silvers in swimming events. This is for the first time that the Indian contingent’s medal tally has crossed 100.

5. Aseel Shaheen (Kuwait) made history by becoming the first-ever Arab woman to officiate at Wimbledon Tennis Tournament 2015. Wimbledon tennis tournament is a traditional competition organised by All England Club, which primarily houses British match officials. She is a line judge and is one of around 350 men and women officiating at Wimbledon 2015.

6. Fiji broke the record for the biggest win in international football with a 38-0 victory over Micronesia. This match was played under Pacific Games 2015. Fiji trounced the Federated States of Micronesia by 38-0 to break Australia’s long standing record of 31-0 against American Samoa. That win came way back in 2001 during an Oceania confederation qualifier for the 2002 World Cup.

7. Japan committed 6.1 billion US dollars (750 billion Japanese Yen) in Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Mekong Region countries for the next three years. The decision was taken by Japan during the 7th Mekong-Japan Summit held in Tokyo. The decision to provide the development aid to Mekong countries was taken in line with the Development Cooperation Charter approved by the Japan’s Cabinet in February 2015. The Mekong region countries include Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
जापान ने आगामी 3 वर्षों के भीतर आधिकारिक विकास सहायता (ओडीए) में मेकांग देशों को 6.1 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर (750 अरब येन) की आर्थिक मदद देने का वादा किया। टोक्यो में आयोजित 7वें मेकांग-जापान शिखर सम्मेलन में जापान द्वारा यह निर्णय लिया गया। मेकांग देशों के लिए विकास सहायता प्रदान करने का निर्णय फ़रवरी 2015 में जापान की कैबिनेट द्वारा अनुमोदित विकास सहयोग चार्टर के अनुसरण में लिया गया। मेकांग क्षेत्र के देशों में कंबोडिया, लाओस, म्यांमार, थाईलैंड और वियतनाम शामिल हैं।
8. Taking a step towards digitalisation, Union Bank of India launched a slew of initiatives such as IMPS at branches and M-passbooks for its customers. The bank has become the first lender to launch immediate payment service (IMPS) through branches for its retail and corporate customers by integrating the platform to its core banking solution. This will allow customers to instantly transfer funds to any account from the branch. The limit has been set at up to Rs. 2 lakh per day. The digital passbook or M-passbook feature will enable customers to view account statement on mobile.
डिजिटलीकरण की तरफ अग्रसर होते हुए यूनियन बैंक ने शाखाओं पर आईएमपीएस और अपने ग्राहकों के लिए एम-पासबुक जैसी कई पहल शुरू की हैं। बैंक अपने कोर बैंकिंग समाधान के लिए मंच को एकीकृत करके अपने खुदरा और कॉर्पोरेट ग्राहकों के लिए शाखाओं के माध्यम से तत्काल भुगतान सेवा (आईएमपीएस) शुरू करने वाला पहला ऋणदाता बन गया है। इसके तहत बैंक के ग्राहक किसी भी शाखा से किसी भी खाते में आईएमपीएस के जरिये रुपये तुरंत ट्रांसफर कर सकते हैं। इसकी सीमा प्रतिदिन 2 लाख रुपये तक निर्धारित की गयी है। डिजिटल पासबुक या एम-पासबुक सुविधा के माध्यम से ग्राहक मोबाइल पर खाते का विवरण देख सकेंगे।

1. United States lifted the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 for the third time. In the finals played at Vancouver, Canada, USA scored 4 goals in the first 16 minutes to dethrone Japan, 5-2 and win their first World Cup since 1999. England defeated Germany, 1-0 to finish third.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on his six-nation tour to attend the BRICS summit in Russia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). Modi will visit five Central Asian nations–Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to deepen strategic relations and energy cooperation. He is scheduled to travel from July 6 to 13 to five Central Asian countries and Russia where he will attend the summits of BRICS and SCO.

Hasmukh Adhia, secretary, department of financial services, union ministry of finance launched the first MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency) card under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) for small entrepreneurs. Mudra Card based on the RuPay platform. PMMY aims to fund micro units in manufacturing, trading and services sectors with affordable credit upto Rs. 10 lakh.

Both the drivers belong to Germany.

With this win, India qualified for the FIBA Asia Championship in China. FIBA Asia Championship will be played in September 2015.

Reserve Bank of India prohibited the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in manufacturing of tobacco products, though activities such as retail and wholesale trading fall under the sectoral restrictions. According to RBI notification Foreign direct investment (FDI) is prohibited in the manufacturing of cigars, cheroots, cigarillos and cigarettes of tobacco or of tobacco substitutes. Foreign direct investment in other activities relating to these products including wholesale cash and carry, retail trading shall be governed by the sectoral restrictions laid down in the FDI policy.

Hyderabad House, Vigyan Bhawan and Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan have topped the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) ratings, leaving behind 49 government buildings including Rashtrapati Bhawan in the capital that were screened for overall cleanliness. The three buildings scored 20 points each while Rashtrapati Bhawan and South Block were ranked 6th with 14 points each. The survey was conducted by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).

1. Google India, Tata Trust and Intel have started a unique initiative to educate rural women about internet and create awareness towards it. These companies joined hands to launch a programme ‘Internet Saathi’. Under the programme 1,000 specially- designed bicycles equipped with internet devices will be sent into remote villages. The aim of the initiative is to create awareness towards internet among 5 lakh Indian rural women in the next 18 months.
ग्रामीण महिलाओं को इंटरनेट के प्रति जागरूक बनाने के लिए गूगल इंडिया, इंटेल और टाटा ट्रस्ट ने एक अनोखी पहल की है। इन कंपनियों ने मिलकर ‘इंटरनेट साथी’ कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की है। इंटरनेट साथी कार्यक्रम के तहत विशेष रूप से डिजाइन की गई 1000 साइकिलें जो इंटरनेट उपकरणों से लैस होंगी, दूरदराज के गावों में भेजी जाऐंगी। इस पहल के जरिए 5 लाख ग्रामीण भारतीय महिलाओं को इंटरनेट के प्रति जागरूक बनाने का लक्ष्य तय किया गया है।

3. Infosys announced that it will invest USD 10 million (about Rs. 63 crore) in Ireland-based start-ups and is expanding presence there by setting up a unit in Dublin. The Bangalore-based IT services firm has been selected as a strategic partner by Allied Irish Banks (AIB), a financial services group operating predominantly in Ireland and the UK, to set up a 200-seater unit in Dublin.

4. Commodore C.D. Balaji (Retd) took charge as the Director of the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and Programme Director of the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA). He succeeded P.S. Subramanyam, a distinguished Scientist, who superannuated on 30 June 2015. Prior to this appointment, Balaji, an outstanding scientist, was Project Director of the LCA’s naval version.

5. Former Chief Justice of India Y.K. Sabharwal passed away at the age of 73. Justice Sabharwal was appointed as chief justice in 2005 and retired after a 14-month term. During his tenure, he gave several important decisions.

6. The country’s largest public sector lender State Bank of India (SBI) launched ‘Project Tatkal’, an initiative to provide doorstep services and expedite Home Loan Application (HLA) process. The project will help home loan applicants to get the loan within 10 days after receipt of application form and relevant supporting documents.

8. The Maharashtra government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with global technology major Cisco for making Nagpur a smart and safe city. This MoU is for making Nagpur a smart and safe city with the help of modern technology and use of Internet to improve quality of life. It envisages for effective and fast delivery of services like CCTV, intelligent transport system, integrated command and control, environmental monitoring, improved health services in coordination with Nagpur Municipal corporation.

9. State-run operator BSNL launched a pre-paid card linked mobile wallet service which would allow its customers to transfer money, pay for services as well as withdraw cash of up to Rs. 1 lakh. The wallet service, Speed Pay, allows a customer to load money even if he does not have a bank account. The money loaded in the mobile wallet can be transferred to a bank account and even withdrawn at bank branches or at BSNL outlets.

1. Google India, Tata Trust and Intel have started a unique initiative to educate rural women about internet and create awareness towards it. These companies joined hands to launch a programme ‘Internet Saathi’. Under the programme 1,000 specially- designed bicycles equipped with internet devices will be sent into remote villages. The aim of the initiative is to create awareness towards internet among 5 lakh Indian rural women in the next 18 months.

1. Just 4.6% of all rural households in the country pay income tax while such households with salaried income are close to 10%, the first Socio-Economic and Caste Census released in eight decades said. According to the Socio-Economic and Caste Census 2011 the percentage of Scheduled Caste (SC) households paying income tax was 3.49% while Scheduled Tribe (ST) tax-paying rural households were mere 3.34%.
देश के सिर्फ 4.6% ग्रामीण परिवार आयकर का
भुगतान करते हैं जबकि ऐसे वेतनभोगी ग्रामीण परिवारों की संख्या 10% है। यह
बात पिछले आठ दशक में पहली बार जारी सामाजिक, आर्थिक और जाति जनगणना में
कही गई। सामाजिक, आर्थिक एवं जाति जनगणना 2011 के अनुसार आयकर देने वाले
अनुसूचित जाति (एससी) के परिवारों की संख्या 3.49% है जबकि अनुसूचित जनजाति
(एसटी) के ऐसे परिवारों की संख्या मात्र 3.34% है।

The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO,
inducted the Old City of Sana’a to the list of World Heritage in danger
due to the “serious damage” done amid clashes between Shiite Houthi
rebels and pro-government forces in Yemen. The decision was made during
the 39th session of the World Heritage Committee in Bonn, Germany, while
the Old Walled City of Shibam in Yemen and the ancient Iraqi city of
Hatra were also added to the list.

जर्मनी के बॉन शहर में विश्व विरासत समिति के 39वें सत्र में यह निर्णय

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) has been launched across the country on
3rd July 2015. With the launch of nationwide MNP, mobile users can
retain their numbers despite changing states/circles across the country,
without incurring any roaming charges. Telecom operators such as Bharti
Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, Uninor, MTS, Reliance Communications,
Videocon Telecom, BSNL and MTNL have already announced the launch of
full MNP.
मोबाइल नंबर पोर्टेबिलिटी (एमएनपी) का 3
जुलाई 2015 को देश भर में शुभारंभ हो गया है। इसके तहत मोबाइल फोन उपभोक्ता
को दूसरे राज्य या दूरसंचार सर्किल में जाने पर न तो वहां का मोबाइल नंबर
लेना होगा और न ही रोमिंग शुल्क चुकाना होगा। उपभोक्ता देश भर में कहीं भी
चले जाएं, उनका नंबर वही रहेगा। सभी दूरसंचार ऑपरेटरों-भारती एयरटेल,
वोडाफोन, आइडिया सेल्युलर, यूनिनॉर, एमटीएस, रिलायंस कम्युनिकेशंस,
वीडियोकॉन टेलीकॉम और बीएसएनएल एवं एमटीएनएल ने देश भर में एमएनपी शुरू
करने की घोषणा कर दी है।

data released by World Bank in Washington the size of Indian economy
stood at $2.06 trillion at the end of 2014. It has almost doubled in
size since the financial crisis hit the country in 2008, and has more
than quadrupled from the start of this millennium. India’s growth rate,
at 7.4% in 2014, makes it the fastest growing major economy along with
China’s.

Badal launched the state Portal ePMS (Electronic Projects Management
System) to fast track infrastructural development. The project was
kicked off to enhance efficiency, bring transparency, boost the investor
confidence, revive the investment cycle, eliminate the human
interaction and improve the communication between industries to
Government (B2G), State to Centre (G2G), or vice versa (G2B).

Indian-American Professor R. Paul Singh has been named as the 2015
Global Confederation for Higher Education Associations for Agriculture
and Life Sciences ‘World Agriculture Prize’ laureate. The award will be

The World Bank announced to provide $650 million loan for a major
project of Indian Railways, the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor
project. Construction of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor will
help speed up the carrying of goods between Ludhiana in the west of
India and Kolkata in the east. This huge project will span 1,840 kms
(1,140 miles) across the North India. The loan is the third from the
World Bank to help fund the freight corridor.

बैंक ने भारतीय रेलवे की एक प्रमुख परियोजना, ईस्टर्न डैडिकेटेड फ्रेट
कॉरिडोर के लिए 650 मिलियन डॉलर का ऋण प्रदान करने की घोषणा की। ईस्टर्न
डैडिकेटेड फ्रेट कॉरिडोर परियोजना का निर्माण भारत के पश्चिम में लुधियाना
और पूर्व में कोलकाता के बीच माल की आवाजाही में तेजी लाने में मदद करेगा।
यह 1,840 किमी. (1,140 मील) लम्बी परियोजना पूरे उत्तर भारत में फैली होगी।
इस परियोजना के लिए यह विश्व बैंक द्वारा दी जा रही तीसरी ऋण किश्त है।

The Union Cabinet approved the institutional framework for the National
Skill Development Mission 2015. The Mission will provide a strong
institutional framework at the Centre and States for implementation of
skilling activities in the country. The Union Cabinet also gave its
approval for a new scheme called Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana
(PMKSY). The Yojana was approved with an outlay of 50,000 crore rupees
over a period of five years (2015-16 to 2019-20). Its aim is provide
convergence to existing schemes of water management, thus bringing
efficiency to the use of water.

मंत्रिमण्डल ने राष्ट्रीय कौशल विकास मिशन 2015 को संस्थागत ढांचा प्रदान
करने के लिए मंजूरी दी। मिशन देश में कौशल गतिविधियों के कार्यान्वयन के

केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमण्डल ने एक नई योजना प्रधानमंत्री कृषि सिंचाई योजना
(पीएमकेएसवाई) को भी मंजूरी प्रदान की। इसके तहत पांच वर्षों (2015-16 से
2019-20) के लिए 50,000 करोड़ रुपये की राशि का प्रावधान किया गया है। इसका
मुख्य उद्देश्य सिंचाई में निवेश में एकरूपता लाकर पानी के उपयोग में
दक्षता लाना है।
9. A woman assistant
subinspector (ASI) of Rajasthan Police Athletics Team Sapna, who
represented Indian police team won a gold medal in the 5 km race walk
event in the World Police Games 2015, held in Virginia, USA. Sapna
completed the event in 26.14 minutes, which is a new police games
record.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar launched a new automation software,
ARPAN 3.0 for the over 12 lakh soldiers of the Indian Army which would
provide them easy access to their service records including pay and
leave details and transfer and postings among others. The roll out of
ARPAN 3.0 (Army Record Office Process Automation 3.0) is aimed at
digitisation of Indian Army’s 45 Record Offices pan India in one year
time.

1. Noted scientist Sanjeev Galande has been selected for the prestigious G D Birla award for 2014 for his pioneering research in the field of epigenetics and molecular cell biology. Galande is a professor at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Pune and is widely respected for his works in genomics and related areas. He is the 24th recipient of the award.
मशहूर वैज्ञानिक संजीव गलांडे को प्रतिष्ठित जीडी बिड़ला अवार्ड 2014 के लिए चुना गया है। उनको यह पुरस्कार इपिजेनिटिक्स और मॉलिक्यूलर सेल बायोलॉजी के क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय शोध के लिए दिया गया है। गलांडे इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ साइंस एजुकेशन एंड रिसर्च (आईआईएसईआर) पुणे में प्रोफेसर हैं और जीनोमिक्स से संबंधित कामों के लिए जाने जाते हैं। वह इस पुरस्कार के 24वें प्राप्तकर्ता हैं।
2. The government appointed U.P. Singh, a Joint Secretary in Oil Ministry, as the interim chairman of state-run Oil India Ltd, after appointment of a regular head was delayed because of questions being raised on the shortlisted candidate. U.P. Singh, Joint Secretary (Exploration), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas assumed the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director in place of S.K. Srivastava who superannuated.

3. Balvender Kumar IAS (UP: 1981) took over as Secretary Ministry of Mines in New Delhi. Before joining the Ministry of Mines, Balvender Kumar was holding the charge of Vice-Chairman, Delhi Development Authority under Ministry of Urban Development. He took over the charge from Dr. Anup K. Pujari.
बलविंदर कुमार आईएएस (यूपी-1981) ने नई दिल्ली में खनन मंत्रालय के सचिव का कार्यभार संभाल लिया। इससे पहले कुमार शहरी विकास मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत दिल्ली विकास प्राधिकरण के उपाध्यक्ष का कार्यभार संभाल रहे थे। बलविंदर कुमार ने डॉ. अनूप के. पुजारी से पदभार लिया है।
4. China has become successful in making first fully indigenous bullet train. It has began testing the first bullet train completely made from locally produced parts. This move of China is being considered as a major step in eliminating dependence on import of bullet train from Germany, Canada and Japan. Till now most of the parts of bullet trains made by China were imported from abroad.
चीन ने पहली पूर्णत: स्वदेशी बुलेट ट्रेन बनाने में सफलता हासिल कर ली है। उसने पूरी तरह से स्थानीय स्तर पर उत्पादित भागों से बनी पहली बुलेट ट्रेन का परीक्षण शुरू किया है। चीन के इस कदम को जर्मनी, कनाडा तथा जापान से बुलेट ट्रेन के आयात पर निर्भरता खत्म करने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम माना जा रहा है। अभी तक चीन जो भी बुलेट ट्रेन बनाता था, उसके ज्यादातर पाटर्स विदेशों से आयात किए जाते थे।
5. Literacy rate in rural areas was pegged at 71 percent in 2014, compared to 86 percent in urban areas, while among the age group of seven years and above, male literacy rate was found higher than the female literacy rate, according to NSSO survey. Among the age group of seven year and above, the male literacy rate was registered at 83 per cent vis-a-vis the female literacy rate of 67 per cent.
एनएसएसओ के सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार, 2014 में साक्षरता दर ग्रामीण इलाकों में 71 प्रतिशत जबकि शहरी इलाकों में यह 86 प्रतिशत दर्ज की गयी तथा सात साल और उससे अधिक के आयुवर्ग के बच्चों में बालिका साक्षरता दर से बाल साक्षरता दर अधिक है। सात साल और उससे उपर की आयुवर्ग में बाल साक्षरता दर 83 प्रतिशत और इसी तरह बालिका साक्षरता दर 67 प्रतिशत दर्ज की गयी।
6. Congress leader K.A. Sabarinathan was sworn-in as a legislator of the Kerala legislative assembly. In the results for the Aruvikara by-election announced, Sabarinathan, 31, secured 56,448 votes to defeat former speaker and minister M. Vijayakumar, 67, of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), who secured 46,320 votes.
कांग्रेस नेता के.ए. सबरीनाथन ने केरल विधानसभा के विधायक के रूप में शपथ ली। उन्होंने अरुविकरा विधानसभा क्षेत्र से जीत दर्ज की है। अरुविकरा में उपचुनाव के घोषित नतीजों में 31 वर्षीय सबरीनाथन ने 56,448 मत हासिल कर अपने निकटतम प्रतिद्वंद्वी मार्क्सवादी कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी (माकपा) उम्मीदवार एम. विजयकुमार (67) को हराया, जिन्हें 46,320 मत मिले।
7. Greece became the first developed nation to default on International Monetary Fund (IMF) debt. It became a defaulter after it missed the deadline for payment of 1.7 billion dollar (1.5 billion euro) to IMF. According to IMF’s Fund spokesman Gerry Rice, Greece has too much debt to return and it can get finance from the IMF only if it repays the loan.
ग्रीस अंतरराष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष (आईएमएफ) का डिफॉल्टर बनने वाला दुनिया का पहला विकसित देश बन गया है। वह डेडलाइन के अंदर ऋण का 1.7 बिलियन डॉलर (1.5 बिलियन यूरो) आईएमएफ को वापस करने में विफल रहा। आईएमएफ के फंड प्रवक्ता गेरी राइस के अनुसार ग्रीस को बहुत अधिक ऋण वापस करना है और उसे आईएमएफ से वित्त तभी मिल सकता है जब वह ऋण चुका दे।
8. Dr. Anup K. Pujari took over as Secretary Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). He is a 80th batch IAS officer. He succeeds Madhav Lal who superannuated on June, 30 2015. Before joining the Ministry of MSME, Dr. Pujari was holding the charge of Secretary, Mines. Pujari has served the Central and Karnataka Govt. in various capacities.

9. Country’s largest bank State Bank of India (SBI) announced its tie-up with travel company MakeMyTrip.com. This partnership includes partnership with personal banking unit for consumer facing propositions – including EMIs on purchase of holidays & international travel, customized travel products like Forex cards and travel products. On the other hand MakeMyTrip customers will be able to access special offers from SBI on debit/credit cards and personal financing.

10. Finland’s Matti Makkonen, the man responsible for conceiving the idea of short messaging service (SMS) technology, passed away following chronic illness. He was also known as ‘Father of SMS’. He was 63.
फिनलैंड के मैटी मैक्नन का लंबी बीमारी के बाद निधन हो गया। उन्होंने शॉर्ट मैसेजिंग सर्विस (एसएमएस) तकनीक की अवधारणा दी थी। उन्हें ‘एसएमएस के जनक’ के रूप में भी जाना जाता था। वह 63 वर्ष के थे।

1. Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani, in an unprecedented move for the first time nominated a female to the post of judge in Afghanistan’s Supreme Court. He has appointed Anisa Rasouli to the post of judge. Anisa Rasouli, the head of the Afghan Women Judges Association and a former juvenile court judge, is the only female nominated to the nine-member bench.
अफगानिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति अशरफ गनी ने ऐतिहासिक कदम उठाते हुए देश के सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में पहली बार किसी महिला को न्यायाधीश के पद पर नामित किया है। उन्होंने अनीसा रसूली को सुप्रीम कोर्ट का न्यायाधीश नियुक्त किया है। जुवेनाइल कोर्ट की पूर्व न्यायाधीश और अफगान जज एसोसिएशन की प्रमुख अनीसा रसूली सर्वोच्च न्यायालय की नौ सदस्यीय पीठ के लिए मनोनीत एकमात्र महिला हैं।
2. Sunil Mittal-led Bharti Airtel has become the world’s third largest mobile operator with 303 million subscribers. It operates in 20 countries. According to World Cellular Information Service (WCIS) Bharti Airtel has moved up one position in the global rankings. China Mobile is the top mobile operator in the world with 626.27 million subscribers. Vodafone Group of UK ranks second with 403.08 million subscribers.

3. The US and Cuba announced the opening of embassies in each other’s capitals, a major step in re-establishing diplomatic ties severed in 1961. Relations had been frozen since the early 1960s when the US broke links and imposed a trade embargo with the Communist island. But the US and Cuba agreed to normalise relations at the end of 2014.
अमरीका और क्यूबा ने एक दूसरे की राजधानियों में अपने दूतावास खोलने की घोषणा की। 1961 के बाद दोनों देशों के बीच राजनयिक संबंधों की दिशा में ये महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। 1960 के दशक के आरंभ में क्यूबा पर अमरीकी प्रतिबंधों के बाद दोनों देशों ने राजनयिक संबंध तोड़ लिये थे। दोनों देश 2014 के अंत में आपसी संबंध सामान्य करने पर सहमत हुए थे।
4. Infosys has launched a mobile app, the ‘Finacle SME Enable’ to help banks enhance support and service for their small and medium business enterprise (SME) customers. The mobile-based financial and business management solution will provide bank’s SME customers real-time access to their account information and relevant financial management tools to manage their day-to-day business operations in a self-service mode.
सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी क्षेत्र की प्रमुख कंपनी इंफोसिस ने एक ऐसे एप की पेशकश की है, जिससे बैंकों को अपने लघु एवं मझोले उपक्रम (एसएमई) ग्राहकों को बेहतर सेवा देने और सुविधाओं के विस्तार में मदद मिलेगी। इस मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन का नाम ‘फिनैकल एसएमई इनेबल’ है। वित्तीय एवं व्यावसायिक सेवाएं देने वाला यह एप उपभोक्ता को अपने एसएमई के बैंक खाते की सूचनाएं प्राप्त करने, साथ ही सेल्फ सर्विस मोड में कारोबार संबंधी वित्तीय गतिविधियों पर भी नियंत्रित रखने में सहायता करेगा।
5. National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and JCB International Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Japan’s JCB Co. Ltd., entered into a partnership for payment cards issuance and acceptance. Under the pact, JCB cards will be accepted at all NPCI locations in India. The partnership will also include the issuance of RuPay/JCB international cards by NPCI member banks that will be globally accepted through the JCB network. These cards will be launched in the second half of 2016.

6. Goa has been selected to host FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017. Goa would be one of the six centres in the country that are provisionally selected to host forthcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 matches. FIFA has provisionally shortlisted other centres like Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Navi Mumbai and New Delhi besides Goa as the World Cup venues.

Star shot putter Inderjeet Singh and half-miler Jinson Johnson clinched their third gold in a row at the third and final leg of Asian Athletics Grand Prix Series 2015 held in Thailand’s Chantaburi. With this gold, both Inderjeet and Johnson completed their golden hat-trick as they had bagged the yellow metal in their respective events in the first and second legs. Johnson led men’s 800m final all through with a timing of 1:50.56 while Inderjeet produced a best effort of 19.83m to take the top honours.

8. Cuba has become the first country to eliminate the transmission of HIV and syphilis from mother to child, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). The World Health Organization hailed what it called ‘one of the greatest public health achievements possible. Only two children in the country were born with HIV and five with syphilis in 2013.

9. Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was conferred with Peru’s one of the highest awards ‘Grand Officer’ for social work and mission to deliver peace through his foundation ‘The Art of Living’. Earlier the government of Colombia honoured him with the country’s highest civilian award for his contribution to peace.

10. Grandmaster and former world junior champion Abhijeet Gupta won the Commonwealth Chess Championship after settling for a quick draw with Arghyadip Das in the ninth and final round. Gupta made eight points out of a possible nine. In the women’s section, Padmini Rout won gold medal by defeating S. Vijayalakshmi.

Bollywood stalwarts Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni are among the world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities, according to the Forbes’ annual list which is topped by American boxer Floyd Mayweather. The Forbes 2015 list of ‘Celebrity 100: The World’s Top-Paid Entertainers 2015′ has been topped by Floyd Mayweather with earnings of 300 million dollars. Breaking into the elite global club, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan are tied for the 71st rank with earnings of 33.5 million dollars each. Akshay Kumar is at 76th spot (USD 32.5 million). Dhoni is ranked 82nd (USD 31 million dollars).

2. Brazilian racer Nelson Piquet Jr won the FIA Formula E Championship title of the 2014-15 season. He beat Switzerland’s Sebastien Buemi. He won the title after finishing seventh in the final race held at Battersea Park in London, the UK. Piquet drove for Chinese team Nextev. It is the first such championship held by FIA, the global governing body for auto racing events.
ब्राज़ीलियन रेसर नेल्सन पिकेट जूनियर ने एफआईए फॉर्मूला ई चैम्पियनशिप ख़िताब 2014-2015 जीता। उन्होंने स्विट्जरलैंड के सेबेस्टियन ब्यूमी को हराया। नेल्सन ने लंदन के बैटरसी पार्क में आयोजित मैच में सातवें स्थान पर रहते हुए यह ख़िताब हासिल किया। पिकेट ने चीनी टीम नेक्स्टेव की ओर से भाग लिया था। यह एफआईए द्वारा आयोजित इस तरह की पहली चैम्पियनशिप है, एफआईए विश्व में रेसिंग आयोजन करने वाला विश्वस्तरीय निकाय है।
3. Infrastructure financing firm IDFC appointed former Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) Vinod Rai as independent director. The appointment has been made with immediate effect. Vinod Rai also worked as Financial Services Secretary. He was director on several boards including the State Bank of India, ICICI Bank , IDBI Bank and Life Insurance Corporation of India.
इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर फाइनेंसिंग फर्म आईडीएफसी ने भारत के पूर्व नियंत्रक एवं महालेखा परीक्षक (सीएजी) विनोद राय को स्वतंत्र निदेशक के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। नियुक्ति तत्काल प्रभाव से की गई है। विनोद राय ने वित्तीय सेवा सचिव के रूप में भी कार्य किया है। वे भारतीय स्टेट बैंक, आईसीआईसीआई बैंक, आईडीबीआई बैंक और जीवन बीमा निगम सहित कई बोर्डों पर निदेशक थे।
4. Senior IPS officer Y.C. Modi, who had been part of a Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) that probed 2002 Gujarat riots cases, has been appointed as Additional Director in the CBI. Modi is a 1984 batch IPS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre. He has been appointed in place of Archana Ramasundaram, who was recently moved out of the CBI and appointed as Director, National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).

5. Nandkumar Saravade has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Data Security Council of India (DSCI). He will take over from the current officiating CEO, Rama Vedashree, vice-president of Nasscom. Saravade was, until recently, working as an independent advisor on fraud and security to Ernst & Young (EY) and ICICI Bank. Till September 2013, he was the South Asia head of security, investigation and vigilance function for Citibank.
नंदकुमार सरवदे भारतीय डेटा सुरक्षा परिषद (डीएससीआई) के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सीईओ) के रूप में नियुक्त हुए हैं। वह मौजूदा कार्यवाहक सीईओ व नैस्कॉम के उपाध्यक्ष राम वेदश्री की जगह लेंगे। सरवदे अभी तक ‘अर्नेस्ट एंड यंग’ (ईवाई) और आईसीआईसीआई बैंक के धोखाधड़ी और सुरक्षा मामलों में स्वतंत्र सलाहकार के रूप में कार्य कर रहे हैं। सितंबर 2013 तक वह सिटीबैंक के लिए सुरक्षा, जांच और चौकसी विभाग के दक्षिण एशियाई प्रमुख थे।
6. Country’s second largest private sector lender HDFC Bank launched ’30-min auto’ and ’15-min 2-wheeler’ loan schemes, for which customers have to provide only their biometric details. The 30-minute auto loan is available for HDFC Bank customers, as well as others. With this technology-enabled solution, loans for two-wheelers can also be approved within 15 minutes.
देश में निजी क्षेत्र के दूसरे सबसे बड़े बैंक एचडीएफसी बैंक ने ‘30 मिनट में वाहन ऋण’ और ‘15 मिनट में दोपहिया वाहन ऋण’ योजनाएं पेश की। इन योजनाओं का लाभ उठाने के लिए ग्राहकों को केवल अपने बायोमीट्रिक विवरण उपलब्ध कराने होंगे। 30 मिनट का वाहन ऋण एचडीएफसी बैंक के ग्राहकों एवं अन्य लोगों के लिए उपलब्ध है। प्रौद्योगिकी से युक्त समाधान के जरिए दोपहिया वाहनों के लिए भी ऋण15 मिनट में मंजूर किए जा सकते हैं।
7. Khalin Joshi was the best-placed Indian golfer as he finished tied sixth at the USD 76,000 Bali National Golf Championship. Joshi carded one-under 71 and finished at five-under 288 in tied sixth place. Also finishing in top-10 was Himmat Rai (74) in tied ninth and Chiragh Kumar (75) was tied 15th. At the top, Matthew Giles of Australia sank a clutch birdie putt on the last hole to win the Bali National Golf Championship title by one-shot.

8. Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu inaugurated the Integrated Security System (ISS) at four railway stations in Mumbai comprising Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), Dadar, Kurla and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). The ISS was installed with a total cost of 21.72 crore rupees. The ISS is aimed at improving security on Railway premises, ensuring safety of the people and averting terror attacks. It has a total of 118 CCTV cameras.
केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु ने मुंबई में चार रेलवे स्टेशनों, छत्रपति शिवाजी टर्मिनस (सीएसटी), दादर, कुर्ला और लोकमान्य तिलक टर्मिनस (एलटीटी) में एकीकृत सुरक्षा प्रणाली (आईएसएस) का शुभारंभ किया। आईएसएस कुल 21.72 करोड़ रूपए की लागत से इन्स्टॉल किया गया है। आईएसएस का उद्देश्य रेलवे परिसर पर सुरक्षा में सुधार करना, लोगों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना और आतंकवादी हमलों को रोकना है। इसमें कुल 118 सीसीटीवी कैमरे हैं।
9. The Union Government approved 643 crore rupees drinking water and sewerage project for Shimla town for World Bank funding. Under the project, World Bank will provide a loan of 514 crore rupees and remaining 129 crore rupees will be provided by the state government as counterpart funding over a project period of three years. The project would help the people of Shimla and adjoining Special Planning Area in addressing the chronic water shortage problem and also sewerage connectivity.
केंद्र सरकार ने विश्व बैंक से वित्त पोषण हेतु शिमला शहर के लिए 643 करोड़ रुपए की पेयजल और सीवरेज परियोजना मंजूर की है। परियोजना के लिए प्रदेश को विश्व बैंक से 514 करोड़ रुपए की वित्तीय सहायता मिलेगी। इसके अलाला हिमाचल सरकार आगामी तीन साल में 129 करोड़ रुपए अपने स्तर पर खर्च करेगी। यह परियोजना शिमला के लोगों और आसपास के विशेष योजना क्षेत्रों में लंबे समय से चला आ रहीं पानी की कमी और सीवरेज कनेक्टिविटी की समस्या को हल करने में सहायता करेगी।
